Example of a Typical Day
- Upon arising, Costa Rican coffee, as you like it.
- Mountain hike up Guatuso Road or easy yoga or exercise.
- Amazing yummy breakfasts with fresh juices, Costa Rican fruits such as guanabana, papaya, mango, pineapples & bananas. They don’t taste like back home… much better! Farm fresh eggs, tortillas, cheese, plantinos, beans and of course more Costa Rican Coffee.
- Then let the Adventures begin – hot springs, jungle hikes with naturalist guide, wildlife exploration every turn, horseback rides, fishing, boating, kayaking, zip line / canopy tour, hanging bridges tour, beaches and water activities, and always opportunity for wildlife photography.
- For some people “Shopping” is a sport and I agree. We take you to the best places for the best prices. Costa Rican coffees, wood working treasures, and local foods. If there is a tourist bus parked out front, we don’t take you there!
- End of the day restoration yoga, exercise, or relaxation on the deck in rocking chairs, while viewing wildlife, Lake Arenal and Arenal Volcano.
- Dinner at the house or a typical or not so typical Costa Rican Restaurant. Unexpected guests usually join us.
- Deep, deep sleep and amazing dreams.
Tours usually consists of 4 nights in a private home at Lake / Volcano Arenal area with 1 night in The Monteverde Cloud Forest area, and 2 nights in Manuel Antonio National Park / Beach area. These are the highlight locations of Costa Rica but we believe the real jewel of Costa Rica is its people and culture and the unexpected adventures that await you.
